2016 is set to be an exciting year for Radio Hartlepool and this month sees the launch of our brand new local music show, The Northern Beat.

Every Saturday at 5pm, it's your chance to hear the talent from this region as we delve into different genres to find the cream of the crop.

Local man Leon Hughes is fund-raising for victims of the Cumbrian floods. As we've all seen on recent tv coverage, the country has been hit badly by constant downpours of torrential rain. Leon and his family have recorded a christmas song and are asking for donations via his Just Giving page.
