It's your chance to see the arrival of Santa Claus to Middleton Grange Shopping Centre on Sunday 22nd November.

The fun starts at 11am with Jason Anderson and Jazzy Charters hosting the big day.

There will be musical entertainment from Red Dreams, bagpipes, and festive characters popping up throughout the day.

Plus of course the opening of Santa's grotto!

So join your truly local station, Radio Hartlepool with some festive cheer.

The fundraising continues to remember Jacob Jenkins, who died recently.

Meanwhile Ben Picken has also set up a fundraising page which has already raised over £20,000 in one month.

West Park Primary School are set to be the first 'solar' school in Hartlepool.

Paul Hewitson, project co-ordinator of Hartlepower CIC asked listeners of Radio Hartlepool to vote in the 'M&S Community Energy' competition.

It was a nail-biting time as the local school was up against several across the country to be in with a chance of winning the funding of £40,000.

The pupils and parents used social media networks such as Facebook and Twitter to gain votes.

The school is already classed as a 'green flag eco school' and now winning this will ensure they can take it to the next level.
