We've got a treat for your Bank Holiday Monday with a Nu-Disco show at 6pm.

Mike Thompson is our latest new name to the station and he is enthusiastic to bring you some great songs to an emerging genre.

Yes we know it doesn't quite have the same catchiness as a certain Bryan Adams song but we are very proud to announce a number of new presenters joining your local station this summer.

Firstly Stu Leighton returns to Radio Hartlepool to present 'The Afternoon Show' and 'Big Drive Home' every weekday.

Our 'Sunday Breakfast Show' has a new name to radio, Kenny Layton. Kenny has guest presented with Jason a number of times and we have gave him his own show.

Last but certainly not least, Mike Thompson is joining the team to present a number of one-off specials, starting this August Bank Holiday.

If you would like to join the Radio Hartlepool crew as a volunter, please download the application pack from the front page of this site.

On Monday 22nd May 2017, Ariana Grande played what was expected to be another gig at Manchester Arena.

Many people from around the country, including Hartlepool, travelled to the city to see the popular singer.

Louise and Emily Anderson (pictured below) were in the Arena when the explosion happened.

Thankfully they were not injured but Lee Theasby spoke to Louise about their experiences during the terrifying attack.
